About Me

Hey, I'm Laura and I am a writer. By day I work as a web content writer for Etech's websites, and by night I work on various personal writing projects that I hopefully will get the balls to start publishing!

I am also an artist and a cosplayer. I've received some internet acclaim for some of my costumes, most notably my TARDIS design. I love to celebrate the female body by creating pieces of art that compliment my body shape in a fun and nerdy way. I strive to bring class, elegance, and sexiness to the Chicago geek community. I also occasionally work with photographers to help stage models into elegant pieces of art, and model a bit myself.

I don't keep up with modern fashion, but I am fashionable. I use my knowledge of different time periods to create classic and unique looks on a daily basis. The word that most people use to describe me is "graceful". I've actually been told that a lot recently by both men and women.

I've always looked up to the famous old-time Hollywood actresses as inspiration for how I wish to be perceived by others. Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Rita Hayworth, Olivia de Haviland, Marylin Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Katherine Hepburn, Ingrid Bergman, Vivian Leigh, and Julie Andrews were some of idols. I try to learn from their power, style, and grace and incorporate those elements into my own being in a modern way.
